A celebration of four important stages of life: birth, ageing, sickness and death. These stages inspired Prince Siddhartha to leave his palace and sought to overcome birth, old age, illness, and death…the beginning of Buddhism. Here, I use liquid to and its container to represent each stage of life.  

Birth: Milk Bottle and Thai Traditional Water Pot (using for boil water for women when they give birth.)

Ageing: Wine Goblet decorated with sex toy pattern  and Thai Wedding Conch Shell (use to pour lustre water on the bridal couple’s hands in order to wish them a happy marriage life)

Sickness: Needle, Drug bottle and Saline Solution Bag

Death: Bathing for The Dead Bowl Set
A bathing ceremony takes place in which relatives and friends pour water over one hand of the deceased. A ritual way of paying respect to the deceased. It is also an action to remind the living that we can take nothing with us when we die….not even a drop of water!
