The inspiration for the mythical monsters came from Vipoo's
memories of the Hobart waterfront and his experiences
snorkelling in Tasmania, Queensland and Thailand. He combined
the shapes, colours and textures of marine life with elements of
his own cultural background to create the bizarre yet beautiful
