The History of Blue and White exhibition is put together by JamFactory for touring in 2006-2007 by Asialink to several countries in SE Asia as well as India.

The concept behind the project is to present to international audiences in Asia and India an accessible and high quality survey some of the best contemporary Australian works in blue and white that illustrate individual approaches and the kinds of conceptual renovation possible within classic canons of Blue and White.

The artists to be in this show includes Gerry Wedd, Robin Best, Stephen Benwell, Bronwyn Kemp and
Vipoo Srivilasa.

   
  Clay Edge Gulgong 2007

Good news from Gulgong. The tradition of clay events here will continue.

Lyn Cole, the director of Cudgegong Gallery, has taken on the responsibility of organising the ceramic spectaculars and will ensure that the 2007 one will be bigger and brighter than ever. With 14 invited master ceramic artists from all over the world and every state of Australia, it will be an exciting and rewarding event, not to be missed.

Vipoo Srivilasa will be one of the 14 master artists to demonstrate at ClayEdge.

   
29 April 2006 Verge: National Ceramics Conference  

Verge is the 11th National Ceramics Conference which will take place in Brisbane during 10-14 July this year.

The focus for Verge is Sustainability for the Individual and the Collective. The conference aims to celebrate and debate contemporary ceramics practice and to look at what can be done to ensure a sustainable future for ceramics.

Vipoo has been invited to present a one and a half day demonstration at the conference. The demonstration will on afternoon Monday 10  and all day Tuesday 11 July.  

   
  Clay Alchemy   Clay Alchemy is a culture exchange project between Thai and Australian ceramic artists. The project organised and run by ceramic artist, Vipoo Srivilasa and fund by The Australian –Thailand Institute. The main aim of Clay Alchemy is to strengthen cultural relations between the two countries.

Clay Alchemy involves six Australian ceramic artists to visit Thailand and Thai ceramic artists to visit Australia late this year. The exchange will happen through a reciprocal hosting in each country by local participants of this project and thought a series of lectures and demonstrations.

14 February 2006 Grant Recipient   Vipoo is very delight to be advised that his application to Australian - Thailand Institute (ATI) for his culture exchange project (see detail below) has been successful.

The establishment of the Australia-Thailand Institute was announced by the Minister for Foreign Affairs, the Hon Alexander Downer MP, on 29 June 2005. The purpose of the ATI is to further promote bilateral relations with Thailand and to expand institutional, cultural and people-to-people links.

  IMPRESSED: Australian Ceramics in India  IMPRESSED, a group exhibition showcasing Australian functional and sculptural ceramic excellence in India. The Exhibition to be held at Delhi Blue Pottery Trust, New Delhi, India and is scheduled to be opened by the Deputy High Commissioner to India Mr David Holly in conjunction with a prominent New Delhi potter on the 16th March at 7pm. The exhibition continues 17th – 30th March 06.

Two pieces of Vipoo "Lai Krarm" Bowls were selected to be include in this exciting exhibition. The exhibition support by the Australia-India Council and Arts Victoria.
