Love comes in many different shapes, forms and flavours and the language of food is often used to describe it. Our lovers can be seen as sweet-tempered, relationships may sour over time and unrequited feelings can leave the owner feeling bitter.

Through Vipoo Srivilasa's interactive Love Lab performance, participants are invited to explore their own ideal lover and taste the results. To do this, they completed a short questionnaire. Based on their answers, Srivilasa creates a uniquely tailored canape, which is served in his handmade porcelain flower dish.

To symbolise same-sex love, eggs were used - as a hen doesn’t need a rooster to lay an egg. To depict opposite-sex love, an avocado was chosen - as the fruit can change its sex. For any kind of love, a capsicum was used - as the tree has both male and female vegetables.
