I’m honoured to share that my work has been selected as a finalist in two of Australia’s most prestigious art awards — the Archibald Prize and the Wynne Prize for 2025.

Being recognised by the Archibald Prize, which celebrates portraiture and the power of representation, is a significant milestone in my artistic journey. As a ceramic artist who has worked primarily in clay for over two decades, it feels deeply affirming to be acknowledged for my painting practice as well — a medium I continue to explore alongside ceramics.

I’m equally thrilled to be a finalist in the Wynne Prize, which highlights landscape painting and sculpture. My ceramic sculpture included in the Wynne reflects my ongoing exploration of place, belonging, and storytelling through form and material.

To be a finalist in both prizes in the same year is an incredible moment of recognition. It reinforces my commitment to working across mediums and continuing to blur the boundaries between craft, design, and contemporary art.

Thank you to the judges and to everyone who has supported my practice. I look forward to sharing more soon.
