Public art is art that is accessible to everyone, often displayed in public spaces and reflecting the values and culture of a community. It can enliven areas, invite reflection, or offer spaces for contemplation. Public art comes in many forms, such as sculptures, murals, installations, and performances.
I have been commissioned both domestically and internationally to create a range of public art projects, contributing to spaces that engage and inspire diverse audiences.
Luk Nimit creates a visual connection between Monash University and Buddhist temples as places of learning through a golden column of seven spheres. Inspired by sacred boundary stones used to protect Buddhist temples, the spheres represent longevity, wealth, fortune, honour, health, wellbeing and happiness.
Water Spirit celebrates the power of water to bring people together and create a sense of connection and place. With its playful scale, white surface and water-inspired mosaic, the sculpture offers a welcoming symbol of inclusivity, joy, friendship and harmony.
