Water Spirit celebrates the power of water to bring people together and foster connection and a sense of place. Water and water spirits have been revered for centuries and hold significance across many cultural traditions.
Through this playfully oversized figure, I wanted to create a symbol of inclusivity, joy and friendship for the Home Docklands site. Its pristine white finish and decorative embellishments reflect familiar elements of my practice, while the water-inspired mosaic brings a sense of peace and harmony to the work.
