Iconic Figures: Devas, Deities and Divas, 2025

Edwina Corlette Gallery, Brisbane
20 August – 16 September 2025

In Iconic Figures: Devas, Deities and Divas, I bring together a playful “greatest hits” of my practice, marking 15 years of working with Edwina Corlette Gallery. The ceramic sculptures revisit themes that have shaped my work over time, including protection, joy, identity and belonging, through familiar elements such as floral motifs, paired figures and the V-sign gesture.

By bringing together devas, deities and divas, I celebrate different forms of strength and visibility, blending references from Buddhist and Hindu traditions with contemporary popular culture, including pop icons and drag performers.

For the first time in a commercial exhibition, I introduced terracotta alongside my usual blue, white and gold palette, connecting my Thai and Australian experiences. I also invited visitors to draw their own modern-day or god-like idols, allowing the exhibition to grow through shared participation.
