Roop Rote Ruang, 2008

For Roop-Rote-Ruang (Taste-Touch-Tell), I hosted a series of intimate dinner parties in Sydney, preparing a four-course Thai meal and creating a 105-piece ceramic dinner set especially for the project.

As guests experienced each course, I shared personal stories about my journey from Thailand to Australia.

Drawing on the Buddhist concept of āyatana, I explored how ceramics, food and storytelling could come together to engage the senses and enrich the experience of dining.

Through taste, touch, sight, smell, sound and storytelling, I created a deeply personal sensory experience centred on food, ceramics and migration.
