In Shrine of Life, I invite visitors to reflect on essential aspects of life: identity, love, equality, spirituality, creativity and security.

The work was inspired by Bangkok’s Lak Mueang shrine, which I visited before moving to Australia. I combined white and gold architecture with five protective deities, drawing on forms and symbolism familiar to me from Buddhist culture.

Scented with jasmine, the shrine becomes a reflective space where visitors can offer a white paper flower to a deity, dissolving the boundaries between artwork, architecture and faith.

Through this work, I honour memories of my homeland while inviting reflection on what we share and what makes each of our experiences different.
