As a Thai-born Australian, I have long been interested in migration, cultural identity and the environmental consequences of settlement.

In Happy Land, I focus on rabbits, which were introduced to Australia by early colonists in an attempt to recreate a familiar British environment. Despite their appealing appearance, rabbits have caused significant damage to the Australian landscape and native wildlife.

I created a porcelain kingdom inhabited by imagined creatures that explore these ideas through a combination of humour, whimsy and environmental commentary.
