Ten Souls, 2026

In Ten Souls, I explore the quiet qualities that sustain us through ten figurines, each representing a fundamental human desire: joy, grace, love, strength, home, balance, peace, kindness, courage and independence.

The series is informed by social researcher Hugh Mackay’s exploration of the core desires that drive human behaviour, including our need to belong, feel safe, connect, have purpose, grow and love.

I translate these shared desires into physical form, creating figurines that act as quiet reminders of what we seek and what we already carry within us. Together, they suggest that beneath our differences, we are sustained by many of the same enduring hopes.
