This Might Be The Place, 2017

In This Might Be the Place, I explore ideas of place, migration and the things we carry with us from our homeland when settling somewhere new.

Using porcelain and detailed cobalt-blue decoration, I created figures that appear to adapt and evolve within their new cultural and environmental surroundings.

The series reflects my ongoing interest in what it means to be both “in” a place and “from” another place, bringing together nostalgia, familiarity and a playful approach to adaptation and belonging.
